Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ladybug Ink. Christmas Blog Hop.
If hopping, you just came from Kay Jantz's blog
My project is a
Christmas Gift Card Holder. I saw this super cute card on someones blog and wanted to replicate it.  ( I cannot remeber the blog I found it on so if it yours please take credit for it in my comments!)

Below is my rendition.  All of the supplies used are from Stampin' Up!, although some may be retired.  I love how the colors pop, and the dimension from the mini clothes pin and buttons make for a really fun and cheerful card.  I've added a pocket inside to hold a gift card.

Welcome to my blog. If hopping, you just came from Kay Jantz's blog.
I had completely forgot about posting this blog until 0750 on Friday morning so I scrambled to get pictures of a few things I had done a month ago on here.  The DSP is from last year, but one could easily use some of this years DSP and it would look just as good.  The card has a transparent window and the holly sprig is stamped on the inside of the card.  The tags can be used on a gift or just hung on the tree as decoration.

Happy Halloween!

Welcome to my blog. If hopping, you just came from Kay Jantz's blog.   I don't have a whole lot to write tonight.  We just returned from the International Balloon Fiesta.  (If you are not familiar, it is the largest hot air balloon gathering in the world, right here in Albuquerque.)  The Glowdeo was cancelled tonight due to "high" winds (the term is relative), but the After Glow Fireworks Show was AH-MAZING!

On to the reason for this post: the card I made for the Halloween themed blog hop.  I don't have many Halloween stamps so I used the large oval punch to construct a pumpkin and used the tip of the petite pennants builder punch for the eyes and nose and 1/3 of the 1" circle punch for the mouth.

Lady Bug Ink. Blog Hop ~ MDS

Welcome to my blog. If hopping, you just came from Kay Jantz's blog
I have to admit that I have never actually used MDS (My Digital Studio) before!  I had downloaded the MDS express trial back when Stampin' Up! first offered it and I just recently downloaded the MDS2 trial, but as usual things got busy and the 30-day trials expired before I got a chance to use it.  So the project that you see here is my maiden voyage...

I created the layout from scratch and although I'm not completely smitten with it, it will do for now.  I am really just thrilled that I figured out how to export the file as a JPG and was able to insert it into this blog!!!!  Now that I have gotten a chance to use this software I am chomping at the bit to do an entire book.  I've started watching the beginners videos on the MDS site and cannot wait to get into the intermediate and advanced videos.  I have so many pictures, event and memories that NEED to be recorded!

It's Wedding Season!

I haven't been to a wedding in quite some time so I was excited when my cousin Cassie was married on the 9th of July.  She had a small, intimate wedding with just her immediate family.  I did get a chance to see her amazing dress while it was at my grandma's awaiting alteration.  She has phenomenal taste and after seeing a few pics from the wedding I know exactly why she picked that dress.  Gorgeous!!!!
Here is a card I made for the newlyweds.  I found inspiration from a card off an inspiration board  at Stampin' Up! convention 2012.  I changed color, framelit shape, embossing folder, glittery background stamp and the material the flowers were made of, but the general layout was copied.  Anywhoo, I like it and I think it will be worthy of delivery with a Williams and Sonoma gift card inside.    Congrats Cassie and Tyce, we love you!!!!

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla
Ink: Sahara Sand
Stamps:  BFF, Curly Cute
Accessories: 5/8" satin ribbon (very vanilla), basic rhinestones, framelits in labels collection, little leaves sizzlit, beautiful wings embosslits, embossing folder is from cuddlebug but I don't recall the name of it, and some holographic embossing powder from another company that I don't know.
